About Your Pockit account and card
What is a Pockit MasterCard ?
A Pockit MasterCard card looks like a credit or debit card, with a card number, chip & pin and signature strip. However, it does not provide a source of credit.
So, it helps you to spend only the amount you have chosen to pay in while offering some of the same great facilities as bankcards, such as an account number and sort code, helping you to stay in complete control.
You can use the Pockit MasterCard at over 35 million locations and withdraw cash from over 1.9 million cash machines worldwide – wherever you see the MasterCard Acceptance mark.
Is there a minimum age to become a Pockit account holder ?
Yes, all primary accountholders must be at least 18 years old. However, you can add additional cardholders, also known as secondary cardholders (minimum age 13).
Who provides the Pockit account and MasterCard ?
The Pockit account and MasterCard card are provided by Pockit Limited.
The card is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions Limited pursuant to license from MasterCard International Incorporated.
When will I receive my Pockit MasterCard ?
Your card should arrive within 3 to 5 working days of you completing your sign up on Pockit.com.
Can I get additional Pockit MasterCards for other family members ?
You can have up to 3 additional Pockit MasterCards linked to your primary card (i.e. 4 cards in total). The additional MasterCards must be in someone else’s name. You can apply for an additional MasterCard by clicking on the ‘Additional Cards’ tab in your online account
Additional Pockit MasterCards cost 99p each, which will be taken directly from your main Pockit account balance. Please note that additional MasterCards are not available for Simple Limits Accounts. For more information, click here .
How do I load my separate balance additional card?
The primary account must be loaded first and then the primary account holder can transfer funds using the “move money” option online or through the app.

Additional Pockit Cards
What is an Additional Pockit Card ?
An additional Pockit card is another card issued from your main Pockit account. It allows other people, such as friends and family, to enjoy the benefits of Pockit. It costs 99p for an additional Pockit card and you can have up to 3 additional Pockit cards linked to your main account.
Simply log in into the Customer Section and complete the form in the ‘Additional Card’ link and your additional card will be on its way.
Additional Pockit cards are only allowed on Full Limit Accounts.
How do I access my Pockit account ?
You can access your personal account online. To log in, simply click the ‘Log In’ button on the Pockit website and enter your email address, password and security answer you set up. You can change this password once you have logged in by clicking ‘Settings’ on the menu.
Once you have logged into your online account you will be able to :
  • Check your balance, transactions and cashback.
  • Make deposits and move money from your account (full limit only).
  • View and download your statements.
  • Manage your settings.
  • Request and manage additional cards (full limit only).
Additional Cardholders can manage their money online but do not have access to the main account or funds.

Fees and Charges
What fees and charges will I pay?
Fees may be applied when you pay into your account, and on ATM withdrawals. International usage fees also apply.

Some ATMs may apply a surcharge so please ensure you check with the ATM provider before making a withdrawal.
Is there a cancellation fee if I want to cancel my Pockit account?
No, you can cancel your account and request your balance to be transferred to a bank account at any point. Instead of a bank transfer, you could also receive your funds via ATM transfer. The standard ATM fee is 99p, or £2.25 at an International ATM, though some ATMs may apply a surcharge. Please be sure to check with your ATM provider before making a withdrawal.
Will I pay any fees if I do not use my Pockit account?
There are no charges if you do not use your Pockit account.
Will I be paid interest on the funds that are paid into my Pockit account?
Pockit is subject to e-money regulations; therefore, interest is not paid.

Your PIN
How do I get my PIN?
Before using your Pockit card, you must first obtain your PIN. Your PIN number is unique to you and must be kept safe. To get your PIN, simply log into your Pockit account or app and click on ‘PIN Settings’. This will give you your unique PIN which can be used straight away to make purchases and ATM withdrawals.
How can I change my PIN?
You can change your PIN at most ATMs in the UK by entering the current PIN and choosing “PIN services”
How can I pay into my Pockit account?
We have made it easy for you to pay into your Pockit account and there are four ways you can do this:
  • With your wages and benefits paid directly from your employer or paying office.
  • By debit card online at Pockit.com (full limit only)
  • By Bank Transfer.
  • With cash at over 28,000 PayPoint locations throughout the UK.

If you are setting regular payments into your Pockit account, you should ensure that these do not exceed any of your limits as they will be returned to the original source and will not be applied to your account. For more information click here .

Wages and benefits
Wages, benefits or pensions can be paid directly into your Pockit Account. To have wages, benefits or pensions paid directly into your Pockit account you will need to instruct your employer or any third party and provide them with your Pockit account details (See above in BACS). You will also need to upload proof of wages, benefits and pensions via the ‘Wages and Benefits’ screen in your online account.
How much cash can I withdraw each day ?
The maximum amount you may withdraw per day from cash machines in the UK is £250 for a Full Limit Account and £50 for a Simple Limits Account.
Where can I withdraw cash?
You can withdraw cash from any cash machine that carries the MasterCard® Acceptance Mark.
Can I use my Pockit MasterCard to get cash over the bank counter?
No, you can only use a cash machine to withdraw cash from your Pockit account.
Purchases:
Just like a debit card, your Pockit MasterCard can be used to buy goods and services. You can use your Pockit card in 35 million locations across the world, anywhere you see the MasterCard Acceptance Mark. As a ‘Chip & PIN’ card, you will simply need to enter your PIN number into the terminal.
What is 3D secure?
3D Secure makes online shopping transactions safer by authenticating a cardholder's identity at the time of purchase, through a Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code. Pockit cards are not yet enrolled on 3D secure. Therefore, you may find that some websites will not allow you to place an online order. Simple Limits Cards
Simple Limits Accounts are issued to customers whose identity and address could not be automatically verified. There may be many reasons for this, such as a recent change of address.
A Simple Limits Account works just like a Full Limit Card. The key difference is that the amount of money you can pay into your account is restricted to a lower level and depositing via Debit Card is not permitted. For full details on Simple Limits accounts click here .

Account Security:
How safe is my money?
Pockit is an electronic money product and, although it is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, it is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. No other compensation scheme exists to cover losses claimed in connection with Pockit.
As a responsible e­money issuer, Wirecard Card Solutions Limited ensures that once it has received your funds they are deposited in a secure account, specifically for the purpose of redeeming transactions made through Pockit.
In the unlikely event that Wirecard Card Solutions Limited becomes insolvent, funds that you have paid in, which have arrived and been deposited with Wirecard Card Solutions Limited are protected against the claims made by creditors.
What is Phishing and how do I avoid it?
Phishing is a way of attempting to acquire sensitive information. We will never send an email to an accountholder requesting security or any other confidential information about their Pockit Account. If you receive an email claiming to be from Pockit Limited or Wirecard Card Solutions Limited with a link to what appears to be the Pockit or Wirecard website, do not enter your personal or Pockit details. Never reply to any such emails or disclose any personal information on such websites.

How do I report that my card is lost or stolen?
As soon as you realise your card is lost or stolen, please log into your account online or via the Pockit app and block the card. You can also call us on 020 3322 9170 and we will cancel your Pockit card. After you have cancelled it, we will issue you with a new Pockit card. Alternatively, you can email us at help@pockit.com.
